Stock Risers: 2018 Forward Prospects
With the spring about over, we are taking a look at some of the top prospects from around the state. Many have improved since this last high school period and we are here to highlight those. Here are our 2018 Stock Risers this spring.
Garrett Pumphrey – 6’8 | C | Cambridge City Lincoln (IN) | Indiana Legends 2018 – Pumphrey is a little bit of an unknown commodity because of playing at Cambridge City and a small 1A schedule. He’s now starting to be a guy that college programs are taking a long look at because of his size and shot blocking ability.
Brennan Fitzgerald – 6’5 | SF | 2018 | Brebeuf Jesuit (IN) | GP Select 2018 – Fitzgerald has been a guy that has shown his versatility this spring. Really been playing as a stretch forward with good size that can play inside. With a lack of size in this class, he’s a guy that could come into play this summer.
Braydin Myers – 6’4 | SF | 2018 | Shenandoah (IN) | IE Trojans 2018 – Myers has grown over the last year and is big enough now, with plenty of skill, that he would be a good option for a small school forward that could put up points. He’s capable of playing inside and out with handles on the perimeter. Could be an intriguing prospect.
Jack Hegwood – 6’5 | SF | 2018 | Indianapolis Roncalli (IN) | All Out 2018 – Hegwood is another wing forward that has seemed to play much improved this spring. He’s really aggressive from the wing, attacking the rim and scoring well at all three levels. Could be a good player for a small school program.
Bryant Nalley – 6’5 | SF | 2018 | Pike Central (IN) | Pocket City 2018 – Nalley has grown and really become more agile. The improved agility and size has really made him a tougher guy to defend. Could be a good outside-in threat. Again, the lack of size in the class could really help him this summer.
