Rising Sophomore Watch List
The rising sophomore class in North Carolina is going to be one to keep an eye on in for the next three years. PrepHoopsNC takes a look at the Class of 2020 with an in-depth break down of some of the recruits that colleges will be taking a look at.
Justice Ajogbor– 6’9 2020 Center (Christ School) Ajogbor has improved his stock more than anyone in the class from last summer until now. He has worked on his game from the time he stepped on the court at Christ School in Arden, North Carolina until now. Playing at Christ School under head coach Scott Willard, Ajogbor has started to gain the attention of some of the biggest programs in the country. He is playing this spring/summer with PSB Select 15U team and has been dominating. at 6-foot-9, Ajogbor possesses a skilled game with great footwork and rebounding ability. He has been able to knock down the 15-foot jump shot and the game is slowing down for him. With his size and athleticism, Ajogbor will be in the discussion as being one of the top prospects in the state if not the country. In January, against Clemson-bound big man Aaron Simms of Blue Ridge School Ajogbor dominated the paint and did not allow Sims to be a factor in the game as a freshman. That kind of game against a ACC-level recruit will only help his stock.
Justice AjogborJaden Springer-6’4 2020 (Rocky River) While many recruiting experts see Springer leaving North Carolina for his sophomore season, Springer put together one of the best freshmen seasons in the Charlotte area in a few years. He has the height and the skill set to be a national-level recruit over the next three years. He has the ability to attack off the dribble and can shoot the ball consistently from deep. He has already been offered by three Division One programs and still has three years of high school basketball left to play.
Callin Randolph-6’0 2020 (Mountain Heritage High School) Randolph is one of the most skilled guards that I have cam across at his age. He has off-the-charts basketball IQ, lets the game come to him and has a deadly shot from three-point range. He can get hot in a hurry from beyond the three-point line. He is a deft ball-handler and does not make mistakes. He recently picked up his first offer from Lees-McRae (Division Two).
