Recruiting Report: Joe Pistorius (2018)
Six-foot-3 Joe Pistorius is an All EDC talent from West Fargo who has four programs looking at him closely for the next level.
All of his interest started with a 20 point per game season where Joe received most of the defensive attention and still shot 80 percent from the foul line, 45 percent from the floor, and made over a third of his three point attempts.
“I grew this winter by being a better leader on the court, also I grew on the defensive end of the floor I feel like I improved a lot as the season went on,” Pistorius said. “I will always remember the first game of state playing against the two time defending champions, even though we lost I will always remember that atmosphere.”
West Fargo lost to Minot at state but is working hard this off season to try and bring his team to a higher level next winter.
“I’m hoping to improve on my ball handling and shooting off the dribble,” Joe said. “My goal is to o improve on rebounding and defense.”
This past weekend Pistorius helped ECI win six games and bring home the Spring Preview championship Sunday. ECI is now 14-6 on the season.
“They’ve challenged me by being strong with the ball because AAU is a lot scrapper then school ball so people are more aggressive,” Joe said. “I learned that everyone needs to rebound on the defensive end or your going to give up a lot of easy points.”
Four schools are calling on Pistorius the most right now.
“I’m hearing from U of Mary, University of Sioux Falls, Valley City, and Augustana recently and hoping to visit some schools in the near future.”
