Recruiting Report: Deion Jackson (2019)
Uplift 2019 shooting guard Deion Jackson has been a major reason for the success of Chicago Select 16U this spring. Angular lefty wing that attacks off the dribble and finds the weaknesses in the opposing teams defense to exploit. Finishes extremely well at the rim and gets out in transition. Bouncy athlete that is projectable on the defensive end of the floor. Jackson is a potential D2 player.
Jackson broke down Uplift’s season which started off very well and ended abruptly in March.
“It was good, but in the playoffs it was rough. Everybody’s mindset wasn’t right and we lost to Orr.”
How does he feel he played individually?
“I think I had a great season. There are things I need to improve on like offense, ball handling, and shooting.”
Jackson broke down the strengths in his game.
“I like to play inside-out. If I am doing good on the inside I will continue that. If I am doing good on the outside I will continue to work there.”
He is enjoying playing with Chicago Select 16U as they have had a good run in the spring.
“It is a good team. We have a good chemistry. We are looking to continue to build as AAU season goes on.”
Jackson does not have any recruiting interest at this time.
