Prospect Spotlight: Tyrell Jones (2019)
Tyrell Jones is smooth.
The 2019 guard comes in at 6’2″, 170 lbs. Jones can hit from outside and has the strength and speed to get by defenders inside.
After two seasons at Leon, he’s making the move to West Oaks.
Jones is spending his second summer with Showtime Ballers. He says he’s focused on being one to of the top guards in the country in the 2019 class.
Currently, he ranks No. 66 overall in the 2019 Prep Hoops Florida class rankings.
Starting his basketball life at age 5, Jones pointed to his ability to blow pass defenders and get to the rim as his biggest strength. He wants to improve his mid-range jumper and 3-pointer.
Originally from Chicago, the suburb of Englewood to be precise, you can see that aggressive type of style in his game. No offers or interest have come yet, but he’s in two very good spots to draw attention with Showtime Ballers and West Oaks. Jones is a Division I/Division II type player.
