Prep Hoops takes a look at the some of the best shooters in the 2018 class.
Raymond Williams – Berea HS
Williams averaged 20.8 ppg this past season at Berea HS. Williams connected on (72-186) from three point range. Williams plays AAU with Team South Carolina. Williams a combo guard really has a knack to score the ball and can create his own shot.
Bradwin Salmond – Lugoff-Elgin HS
Salmond is a virtual unknown throughout the state. Salmond averaged 16.2 ppg and connected on (68-176) from three point range this year. Salmond really excels on the baseball diamond and has already committed to Spartanburg Methodist College.
Effix Miller – Swansea HS
Miller a quarterback on the football team also excels on the hardwood. Miller plays AAU with the Karolina Khaos. Miller averaged 20.3 ppg this season while connecting on (59-185) from three point range.
Amadric Mixon – Lee Central HS (Bishopville) (pictured on front)
Mixon is not well known in many circles at all unless you adventure out to Lee County in the Palmetto State to watch him. Mixon 6’2 (150) is nicknamed “Cheese”. Mixon is a one-trick pony when he’s on it’s fun to watch him shoot the ball with deep range. Mixon hasn’t been seen at all this spring on the AAU circuit.
Bryson Rose – Academic Magnet
Rose made over 120 three pointers this season and set the new state record. Rose also has scored 1,034 career points entering his senior year. Rose 5’11 scored 27 points in the last game of the season in a SCHSL playoff game lost to Calhoun County 77-72. Rose averaged 20 ppg and 7.8 rebounds this season.
Walker Lima – Pinewood Prep (Summerville)
Lima is a unsung hero on this talented team. Lima plays strictly off the ball and connected on (58-149) from three point range last season. Lima plays AAU with Palmetto Elite. Lima averaged 6.6 ppg this past season.
