Prep Hoops keeps updating the database on a daily basis on where kids will be off to play at next season. Here is the latest on some players from around the Palmetto State.
Trey McGowens (2018) will leave for his senior season and play at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA. McGowens averaged 18.3 ppg, 6.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds this season for the Wren HS Hurricanes. McGowens helped Wren HS to the 4A State Championship Game this past March. McGowens has received over 20 plus scholarship offers this season. McGowens is running AAU with Team United EYBL and Team South Carolina.
Jeremiah Neubia (2017) will play at USC-Salkehatchie in Walterboro next fall. Neubia averaged 12.6 ppg, 4.6 rebounds and 4 assists this season for the Wren HS Hurricanes. Neubia also a former football player brings a great deal of toughness and demeanor to the floor. Neubia is tougher than a $2 dollar steak.
John Kanaan (2017) has decided to walk on at The Citadel according to Team South Carolina Head Coach Mike Alexander. Kanaan a blue collar kid averaged 14 ppg and 8.7 rebounds this season for Wren HS.
Cameron Willis (2017) has signed to play at Louisburg College in North Carolina for this coming season. Willis 6’6 averaged 6.9 ppg and 6.4 rebounds for the Hurricanes of Wren HS this year.
Willie Dunbar (2017) has informed Prep Hoops that he will play at Marion Military Institute in Marion, AL. Dunbar 6’6 post player played at Dutch Fork HS. Dunbar was ranked #42 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season.
Donalson Fanord (2017) has signed to played at Emmanuel College (NCAA D2) this coming fall. Fanord 6’8 played his high school basketball at Walnut Grove Christian School. Fanord was recently playing AAU this spring with Team United Elite. Fanord was ranked #54 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Luke Brenegan (2017) is looking to attend a prep school this coming fall. Brenegan recently visited Fork Union Military (VA). Brenegan averaged 21 ppg and 5 rebounds this season for the Wade Hampton Generals. Brenegan was named Region Player of the Year and Greenville County Player of the Year. Brenegan’s dad played college basketball at the University of South Dakota. Brenegan is originally from Wisconsin.
Jai Morrow (2017) will attend Catawba (NC) (NCAA D2) next season. Morrow a 5’7 point guard played his senior season at May River HS in Bluffton. Morrow averaged 11 ppg and 7 assists this season. Morrow a military kid played AAU with the Carolina Ballers. Morrow was ranked #123 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
