When it comes to recruiting, finding ways to differentiate yourself is key. One of the best and most coveted ways from college coaches is having high academic prospects. This series of articles looks at some of the top academic student-athletes at each position on the floor. Here is our look at the top academic shooting guards.

State of Academics: When we look at the state of academics for the class 2018 shooting guards, you obviously have more depth than most other spots on the floor. With that, though, you don’t have a ton of really high academic kids. These five above all carry a 3.5 GPA or better. You do have a ton of JUCO level prospects with regards to their grades. The depth of this group is in between the 3.5-2.8 range. More prospects in that range than in any other of this class.
