State of Academics: In the class of 2018, when it comes to academics and the center position, like in most years you aren’t going to have a ton of options. The reality is most of the options in this class do have fairly solid grades. All the players on this list have a 3.5 GPA or better. There aren’t any sure fire DI prospects in this group and not many DII level either. However, the NAIA and DIII programs should be able to find some options with grades that will be helpful. Again, never much depth for the center position but the lack of DI prospects gives small school programs more options than maybe in the past years.
