Patrick Kelly | 6’6” | Virginia Episcopal/Team Loaded VA (#18 Overall)
He moved from Arizona before the school year started, and now that we’ve seen him he looks like a division one player no doubt. He has great size for a shooter, and he has a quick trigger and picture perfect form off the catch. What separates him from other shooters though is that he’s also a competitor that will stick his nose in there and do the dirty work to help his team win. Needs to work on his foot speed on the perimeter.
Gibson Jimerson | 6’5” | Benedictine/DC Blue Devils 17U (#26 Overall)
He may be a little chunky, but check pictures from the time he transferred to Benedictine and it’s a night and day comparison. The thing Jimmerson can do is shoot it, and he shoots it as good or better than anyone in the state, and I don’t make many blanketed statements like that. At 6’5″, he has the right size to be able to be a shooting specialist at the division one level, just has to continue to work on his body moving forward.
Christian DePollar | 6’4” | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes/DC Premier (#27 Overall)
A lefty shooter with picture perfect form and good size, DePollar has been very effective early at St. Stephen’s St. Agnes. He can play the 2-4 in high school and be a mismatch at every position, and the fact that his biggest strength is his ability to shoot it is good because he doesn’t have to fix that. Would like to see him find other ways to be successful when his shot isn’t falling sometimes.
Jamon Battle | 6’4” | Meadowbrook/Dreamchasers (#32 Overall)
Another kid with division one natural ability, Battle is an explosive athlete that plays hard and can do a lot of things on the court. The issue is that he doesn’t always do the correct thing. He has some poor mechanics and makes some boneheaded plays, but he’s a competitor that wants to get better and dominate. He has good size and is bouncy, and he can really fill up the stat sheet, he just needs some help learning the game a little more.
DeMarr McRae | 6’1” | John Marshall/Team Loaded VA (#35 Overall)
McRae’s one of those players that knows his role and does it so well he’s already receiving division one offers. He’s a lock down perimeter defender who will get in your face all game and let you know he’s shutting you down. He’s an explosive athlete who provides energy with big dunks and blocks all game, and he plays with an energy that flows through the team.
Kobe Tigney | 6’4” | VA Academy/New World VA (#36 Overall)
Tigney has potential to be a really good three and d guy at the next level if he buys into it all. He has good length, can shoot the deep ball when set and gets after it on the glass. He has to work on his ball handling and provide a little more energy, but a reclass year should help him with that and some more.
Daryl Anderson | 6’6” | Millwood/BWSL Chiz (#37 Overall)
When he plays with confidence offensively, Anderson shows great potential moving forward. At 6’6″ he’s really long, allowing him to deny opponents and bother ball handlers by taking away their passing lanes. He’s also a lefty with a smooth stroke, making him a threat offensively. He needs to fill out big time, and if he can learn to play through bad stretches he’ll be really good.
Alex Fitch | 6’3” | William Byrd/DC Premier (#39 Overall)
A shooting specialist, Fitch can really light it up from deep. He has extreme confidence in his shot, and has a really quick release that allows him to get his shot off with little or no space. He sets his feet well and has length defensively, but he needs to add strength to his frame and another dimension to his offensive game to take him to the next level.
