Spring Kick Off (2017): 16U standouts (stretch 4)
DENVER, Colo. — Prep Hoops takes a look at some of the top 16U stretch 4s who impressed this past weekend in Denver at the Spring Kick Off (2017).
Jack Olson, 6’7, 2019, Legacy, Colorado Chaos Elite
Impressed with Olson’s play, who can serve as a stretch 4 and big 3 man. He can shoot the 3 and showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the basket where he is a strong finisher. Had a couple nice drives and finishes on Saturday against SSA Elite.
24 — Dishon Thomas, 6’8, Hillcrest Prep, Las Vegas Prospects
Can really stroke it from 16-18 feet, can handle the ball a little and has elite size and length. One of the more talented performers we saw throughout the 16U tournament.
34 — Matt Wheelock, 6’8, 2019, Regis Jesuit, Billups
Big man with a huge frame and build. Can step out and shoot the 3 and can put the ball on the floor. Despite his size and strength, Wheelock spends more time on the perimeter than he does in the paint.
45 — Jordan Stratch, 6’7, 2019, Ralston Valley
Active, athletic kid with a good nose for the ball. Has some nice moves inside and had some good moments against a talented Billups Elite team. Nice free throw stroke.
