Savage lights it up in Dallas
The green light was on all weekend for Colt Savage as he put his shooting stroke on full display for Gym Time Hoops on the Adidas UpRising Silver Circuit. Savage was a problem for opposing defenses on the Wing. At 6’5 Savage has several things in his arsenal that make him tough to guard.
The jump shot of Savage is fundamental and smooth. Each time the ball leaves his hand it looks like it is going to go in with his great form. He is not afraid to shoot the basketball, but is also not a selfish player. Being a coaches son, Savage sees the floor extremely well and plays with a very high basketball IQ.
North Dakota State, Texas State and UT Arlington are all schools who had reached out to Colt before the live period to show interest. The list of colleges interested in Savage will continue to grow after the performances he had this weekend at the Adidas UpRising Silver Circuit in Dallas.
Savage was on fire from behind the arc leading Gym Time Hoops to several big wins. He is much more than just a three-point shooter on the Wing. Savage played Point Guard for a large part of his life, which has developed his ball handling skills very well. The handles of Savage allow him to be a creator on the Wing offensively for himself and others.
Savage projects to the Low to Mid Major Division I level. he is trending towards the top five in the Oklahoma 2018 Prospect Rankings. Don’t be surprised to start seeing offers come in for Savage at the Division I level.
