Recruiting Report: Logan Hokanson
Class of 2017 6’0 G Logan Hokanson of Desert Hills High School has signed his letter of intent to play at Umpqua Community College, OR under Coach Daniel Leeworthy. Umpqua made the Final 4 in the NWAC this year and was led by another Utah native in Grant Ellison from Weber High School. Playing in the NWAC will be a great place for Logan to fine tune his skills and make an impact on a well coached team.
Logan lead Desert Hills to a 21-6 record and was named 3A MVP as well as Region 9 MVP. This year Hokanson averaged 16.5 points per game. Umpqua runs an open system that will benefit a player like Hokanson. The River Hawks will get a player in Hokanson that has all the tools that will translate to the next level. Logan is known to attack defenses by penetrating with intensity but he also makes teams pay from the outside. One of the qualities that separate Logan from other players is his court awareness. We look forward to hearing about Logan’s progress. Congratulations to Logan Hokanson and Umpqua on a great sign.
