Recruiting Report: Dominic Allmond (2020)
2020 point guard Dominic Allmond made his varsity debut last season.
The rising Bishop Kenny sophomore stands at 6’0″, 165 lbs. The Crusaders finished 20-7 but lost in the Class 6A-District 3 playoffs. He called the season a good one for him personally.
“I learned not to hold back in games and I grew a lot with my court awareness and expanded my basketball IQ more,” Allmond told Prep Hoops Florida
Playing both point guard and shooting guard a year ago, Allmond will move into a key role with 10 seniors graduating next month.
He’s turning his focus to the summer playing on the Adidas Gauntlet, where he’ll suit up for Game Elite for the second straight year.
Starting his basketball life at age 6, Allmond pointed to his ability to see the court and attack downhill as his biggest strengths. He wants to improve further on stopping on the dime and knocking down the jumper.
Allmond earned his first offer last June from North Florida.
Look for this rising sophomore to draw more attention this summer. He’s a very crafty ballhandler and his ability to get to the rim and get around defenders is noticeable. This is a big year for him as he increases his playing time with Bishop Kenny.
