Recruiting Report: Dason Youngblood
When people think on Bingham High School they immediately think of a football powerhouse. In recent years Bingham has also turned into a basketball power winning back-to-back 5A State Titles. The Miners have also produced players like Yoeli Childs (BYU), Daylor Youngblood (Dixie State), Lleyton Parker (Dixie State), Samuta Avea (Hawaii) and Branden Carlson (Utah). Bingham is an obvious school to find talented athletes like unsigned 6’2 PG/SG Dason Youngblood who was a key contributor in Bingham’s impressive runs these past two years.
Dason was named 5A MVP and his recruiting is starting to pick up as schools in need of a combo guard are starting to notice. Lane Community College, OR has offered the dynamic guard. He has the ability to get to the basket and makes defenses pay in the perimeter. Dason is an underrated passer and shooter who also plays great defense. With all the right tools to play at the next level Dason is now awaiting the right school for him.
Schools that have reached out to Dason are Northwestern Nazarene University, Indian Tech and Kentucky Wesleyan. Other schools that have show interest are Cal Poly Pomona and South Carolina State University.
Dason would be a great late season pick-up doe a high D2 or Mid Major D1.
