Recruiting Report: Antrell Charlton (2018)
2018 forward Antrell Charlton made the move to The Rock this past season.
He played one at Suwanee before transferring over two years ago.
The 6’4″, 180-pounder helped The Rock go 33-4 this season. He said he grew a lot as a player as a junior.
“I improved a lot since last year, even earned most improved player on the team,” Charlton told Prep Hoops Florida. “I would say having an impact on the court without scoring the ball and my defense improved the most with playing with The Rock this year.”
Charlton says he is focused on becoming a more efficient scorer as far as attacking the basket.
Starting basketball at the age 5, here’s what he pointed to as his biggest strengths.
“My shooting ability, passing, defense, athleticism, and my IQ are probably my biggest strengths,” he said. “Things I want to improve are getting to the basket more efficiently, becoming quicker and using my mid-range game a lot more often.”
He currently has an offer from Stetson and interest from Mercer and JMU.
Look for Charlton to up the ante and improve his overall game. He’s a solid and crafty player who is benefiting from the move to The Rock. He had a good weekend playing for the Upward Stars at the E1T1 Invitational and looks the part.
