Prospect Spotlight: Kaleb Coleman (2019)
2019 forward Kaleb Coleman is long and athletic.
The 6’6″, 193-pounder played a key role on a 22-5 Oak Ridge team that made it all the way to the Class 9A region final before losing by three points to eventual state champion Osceola.
Coleman took a lot from his sophomore season. We currently have him ranked No. 33 overall in the 2019 class rankings.
“This past year with Oak Ridge taught me that a team can do big things if we buy into each other and if you have trust in your teammates,” Coleman told Prep Hoops Florida. “I think the aspect of my game that grew was by confidence. I feel I can do more now that my team had trust in my game.”
He’s running with Team M.O.A.M again, a squad he’s played for since 8th grade. Coleman says he’s focused on increasing his athletic ability, his drive to the basket and to take the defender off the dribble.
Starting his basketball life at age 9, he says his biggest strengths are his versatility, dribbling ability, shot and post moves.
As Coleman gets stronger in his upper body, he’ll be even better as an interior player. He’s very elusive and is certainly a mismatch all over the floor. His motor is non-stop and I fully expect him to come away with plenty of college interest by the end of this summer.
