“Set shooter. Rebound,” Weber said about his playing style. “I’m athletic. Can dunk. And I’m a good passer too”
Weber recalls playing basketball for the first time around age 9 or 10. Weber was always a tall kid growing up, but from 8th to 9th grade, he hit a 3-inch growth spurt. The now 6-foot-7 Weber has worked extremely hard on becoming more consistent with his jump shot, and the results have been positive. He averaged just under 10 points per game as a sophomore, and hit just six threes all season. Expect both of those numbers to increase during Weber’s upcoming high school campaign.
“Driving, slashing,” replied Weber when asked what aspects of his game he’s working on now.
Weber boasts a steady 3.2 GPA, and while he’s gone relatively under the radar thus far, it shouldn’t be long before he attracts serious attention from college programs. Weber believes one of the most underrated aspects of his game is his work rate.
“I try to go as hard as I can every play,” he said.
Weber will bring aggressiveness and a non-stop motor to a school at the next level. What is he looking for in a school?
“Obviously a good basketball program. Good campus.”
