Prep Hoops Spring Kick-Off Most Underrated (16)
The Prep Hoops Spring Kick-off had plenty of talented players who impressed throughout the tournament. Even so, a lot of player go unnoticed when their not the number one guy on their team. Here are a few of the most underrated players that I saw.
Landon Wallace 5’6 (2020) (Conifer, B@B Basketball Academy) was a kid that you wouldn’t think would have a big impact on a game with how small he is but he surprised. Wallace had great court vision and found his teammates all day long. He also was a great defender and caused havoic on the opposing guards.
Simon May 6’3 Wing (2019) ( Colorado Cardinals) did a little bit of everything in the game I saw him play. May was able to attack the basket and finish at the rim. He also rebounded like crazy and would lead the break and his teammates for easy buckets. If May continues to grow and develop he could be a big time player.
Jevaughn Williams 5’11 (2019) (Sand Creek, The Force Basketball) is a super athletic strong guard who does a little bit of everything. I liked how he dives for loose balls and does all the dirty work. Williams is also a lock down defender on the ball. He spent most of his time hounding the opposing point guard.
Lane D’Agostino 6’0 (2019) (Arapaho, Colorado Premier) is the glue player that does everything solid and helped his team pick up a couple of wins. He was able to score with a flurry of floaters and mid-range jumpers. D’Agostino obviously has a high skill level and a good basketball IQ which makes him a solid small college prospect. If he keeps wokring I could see him playing at the NAIA/D3 level.
