Midwest Live!: Sunday Standouts (Part II)
2019 Japannah Kellogg, 6’5 SF (All Iowa Attack Red 16U)
We came away from this weekend utterly impressed with Kellogg’s development as a wing player. He puts the ball on the floor with ease and uses his dribble effectively to get to the rim where he can finish adeptly. His great length helps him finish over players at the rim. We’re excited to see how much he can improve his wing development over the next two seasons.
2019 Isiah Mosley (MO), 6’5 SF (MOKAN Elite EYBL 16U)
One of the more athletic wings at the tournament, looks to be a high-level D1 player. He was the best player on the best team at the whole tournament during a beat-down of Iowa Mavs Purple 17U in the semifinals. Mosley showcased a versatile skill-set highlighted by above the rim capability.
2019 Tyreek Green, 6’4 F (All Iowa Attack Red 16U)
An undersized post for All Iowa Attack, but can be used as a wing if necessary. He’s best at being a grit guy, pulling down rebounds against bigger opponents and playing tough defense. If his offensive skill-set continues to improve he’ll become of of 2019’s best.
2019 Jalen Gaudet, 6’3 F (Iowa Dynasty 16U)
A very big-bodied stretch-four but moves well for his size. He’s got a good-looking jumper but is most effective exploiting smaller wings in the paint. An Iowa City West product, it will be interesting to see how he fits in to their talented group of 2019s and 2018s on varsity next season.
2019 Ryland Threlkeld-Wiegland, 6’4 F (Iowa Dynasty 16U)
Long and athletic sharpshooter who will likely be used as a stretch-four type at Cedar Rapids Kennedy the next two seasons. He started off Iowa Dynsaty’s final against Lincoln Supreme Black with two triples and finished the game with four 3s. He could make a big impact with the Cougars next season.
2019 Yashua Bradley, 5’11 G (Lincoln Supreme Black 16U)
A product of Lincoln Northeast (NE) Bradley was quick and got to the hoop seemingly with ease where he finished athletically. He was a menace defensively, and offensively he led his team in scoring during a Blue Division title game win over Iowa Dynasty. D2 and NAIA programs should give him a look.
