Grassroots Team Preview: Team Rush
Team Rush opened its 2017 slate at the Made Hoops Warm Up in Bentonville this past weekend. Featuring a talented line-up of Kansas City area players, team Rush will be competing on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit this spring.
Roster
Yor Anei, 6’10, F, 2018, Sunrise
Anei is a long, athletic player with tremendous size and athleticism. He has improved his all-around play and looks to score more in the post. A good spring and summer could boost his stock significantly.
Ronnie Bell, 6’4, G, 2018, Park Hill
One of the Kansas City area’s best all-around guards, Bell is an athletic player who can finish above the rim, handle the ball and play either guard position. He has a terrific outside shot with great form and balance and gets good lift on his shot.
Christian Bishop, 6’8, 2018, Lee’s Summit West
A left-hander, Bishop has seen his stock rise perhaps more than any other 2018 in the Kansas City area. He is capable of playing along the base line and finishing above the rim, is a versatile defender able to move his feet on the perimeter as well as block shots on the interior and has a smooth shooting stroke out to the 3-point line.
Deng Bol, 6’1, G, 2018, North Kansas City
One of the KC area’s unsung players, Bol is a terrific all-around player capable of impacting the game in a variety of ways.
Elijah Farr, 6’8, F, 2018, Lee’s Summit North
A true stretch 4, Farr loves to shoot the 3, put the ball on the floor and attack the basket, but is a big, strong player that can bang inside as well.
Logan Jenkins, 6’3, SG, 2018, Lee’s Summit North
One of the KC area’s premier outside shooters, Jenkins has a pure shooting stroke and has a quick trigger.
Jordan Lathon, 6’4, G, 2018, Grandview
Lathon is one of Missouri’s most highly sought after 2018 recruits as he holds numerous offers from Division I schools and is contact with several others. He is a true point guard capable of leading a team. Lathon is an exceptional defender, has great size and can impact the game in a variety of ways.
Jamar Madge, 6’4, G, 2018, Raytown South
Has terrific size and athleticism and is coming into his own on the basketball court.
Anthony Selden, 6’7, F, 2018, Lawrence
One of Kansas’ premier athletes, Selden has become known for his highlight reel dunks. Played on a deep and talented Lawrence squad. Younger brother of former Kansas standout Wayne Selden.
Sevon Witt, 6’7, F, 2018, Raytown South
Strong, physical forward with the ability to play inside or out. A terrific defender who uses his frame to wall off opposing players. Can step out and knock down jumpers or play above the rim inside.
