Glue Guys at Prep Hoops Route 66 Kickoff
Every team needs glue players to help earn wins. The glue players are leaders they keep the team together with leadership. Some lead by example doing the right thing and some are more vocal with their leadership. They bring hustle non-stop to the court. Glue guys are the players every coach loves to have on their team.
Sam Masten 6’3 2018 Colorado Hawks Guard
It is not often that one of the primary scorers for a team can be considered a glue guy, but Masten was just that. He is a little out of the ordinary when it comes to a really talented player. Masten leads by example by constantly making the correct play and is not afraid to be vocal on the court. He made smart passes and took advantage of scoring opportunities as they came. Masten holds Division I offers.
Luke Major 6’6 2018 3D Athletes Wing
Major played with passion on Saturday morning. The 3D Athletes fed him the ball inside and he used a variety of post moves to score. Major was best at rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. The toughness and grit of Major makes him an intriguing player. Major is receiving high Division II looks.
Marko Rajanovic 6’6 2017 Kansas Pray and Play Forward
Marko is a pick and pop Forward who saw time at the three. Within some offensive systems he could be a four with his size. He has an outside game with a smooth three-point shot. What makes him a glue guy is the hustle and intensity he brought to the boards. He boxed out his opponent very well. The majority of the time he played in the paint on defense and on the perimeter offensively. He was everywhere.
Shane Diduik 6’4 2018 Oklahoma Power Wing
He constantly battles for the basketball on the boards and for loose balls. He shoots the three-point shot consistently well. The hustle of Diduik is what sets him apart from other players. He also is a glue guy with the way he shares the ball and is completely unselfish. He projects to the small college level.
Kamden Gipson 5’8 2018 Oklahoma Power Point Guard
Gipson is a defensive pest who is always looking to do whatever he can to help his team win. He is the ultimate team player. Height is not in favor of Gipson, but he plays with a chip on his shoulder to make up for anything he lacks in inches. Gipson did a great job of playing for his teammates and getting them the ball in the best spots possible. He is really quick off the dribble. He has a nice floater in the lane. Gipson projects to the small college ranks.
Donovan Deal 6’8 2018 RL9 Post
Deal is a rebounding machine for RL9 in the paint. He has a college ready strong body at 6’8. Glue guy fits defining Deal because of all the small things he does on the court. Deal battles on the block for position so well it not only allows him to rebound well, but to also get easy baskets off of offensive boards. Deal finishes strong through contact around the rim.
Kevis Stewart 6’8 2019 Arkansas Lions Forward
Stewart is a very intriguing 2019 prospect out of Arkansas. He does a ton of things for the Arkansas Lions from taking up space on defense to opening up space for his teammates through great screens. In the post, Stewart has really progressed turning into a dependable option. Stewart rebounds the ball well and sticks to his role.
