E1T1 Invitational Standouts (Part 1)
E1T1 United held a tournament this weekend at The Big House in Tavares, Fla. Teams from across the state and the U.S. took part from youth to high school age.
Friday night opened up the tourney with games on Saturday and the bracketed rounds went down on Sunday in front of a big crowd.
Here are the top standouts from the E1T1 Invitational (Part 1).
Emmitt Williams (E1T1)
Dunk after dunk after dunk. That was the main takeaway for me with Emmitt Williams. He is so powerful. The 6’8″ IMG forward is headed into his senior season and he’ll continue to increase his stock this summer with E1T1 17U. Williams, a former Lehigh star is going to be counted on even more at IMG next season. He’s striving to get his jumper going something that was noticeable during and between games this weekend.
Bryce Williams (Balkman Elite)
Bryce Williams had a really good Saturday for Balkman Elite. The 2017 guard made some big shots for his team against both Game Elite in the morning session and E1T1 at night. The South Sumter senior heads into the summer trying to get in as much play as possible in travel ball. He should find a spot somewhere to play in the fall. At 6’3″, Williams has an offer from Texas-Rio Grande Valley on the table.
Jai Clark (E1T1)
Jai Clark caught fire this weekend. In the opening game of the tournament for E1T1 17U, the Apopka 2018 guard made all five of his 3-point attempts. He shined once again on Sunday with big jumpers and he has grown in height since this past season. At 6’2″, Clark has a bright basketball IQ. Offers from North Florida and Les McRae are out there for him with interest from FGCU, Stetson and Georgia Southern. Clark will draw plenty of attention this summer on the circuit.
Eddie Williams (Team Under Pressure)
A Calvary Christian senior, Eddie Williams put on the moves on Sunday against E1T1. Alongside his high school teammate, Juice Thompson, Williams had some big moments. He handled the ball well and drove to the rim plenty. Williams pulled a move on top rated 2018 forward Emmitt Williams in the second half that really caught me by surprise (). He has interest from Kennesaw State, Nova Southeastern and Northern Arizona. He’ll be playing somewhere in the fall.
Isiah Kirby (E1T1)
I first saw Isiah Kirby last December at the City of Palms Classic playing for Sagemont. This kid is a lot of fun to watch. He doesn’t have to do as much ball handling for E1T1 16 U with Tre Mann, CJ Walker and Jaylen White taking control. However, Kirby made the most of his possessions this weekend. He has an offer from NC State right now and he’s starting to fill out his body from top to bottom. Look for Kirby to have a big summer.
