Crutchfield continues to improve
Most know Jalen Crutchfield as a catch and shoot Wing from watching him over the first three years of his high school career at Norman North. A big area of his game that lacked was his ball handling and ability to put the ball on the floor. This spring Crutchfield is changing the narrative of him just being a catch and shoot player.
On the Adidas UpRising Silver Circuit, Cruchfield is turning heads with his improved handle. He is driving the basketball strong to the basket and finishing strong even when contact comes his way. The three-point shooting of Crutchfield has remained at a very high level.
The improvements Crutchfield has made this spring are a testament to his hard work on the hardwood. Oklahoma Power 17U squad has been a perfect fit for Crutchfield. They look for him to score as one of their go to guys. With the addition of driving the ball to the basket, Crutchfield has become a player who can score at all three levels.
It helps that opponents know or realize really quickly how well Crutchfield can shoot the three-point shot. Once opponents started to chase Crutchfield off the line he used his improved handle to get to the rim. The level of Crutchfield is not yet decided, but one thing is for sure he continues to improve and impress this spring.
