Circle City Shootout: 2018 Players To Watch
The AAU season is underway and we are looking forward to a long weekend here in Indianapolis. With that, we are going to look at some of the top prospects playing in the event. Right now, we are going to take a look at the top 2018 prospects at the Circle City Shootout.
- Cole Jenkins – Carmel / All Out 2018
- Tyler Watson – Tri-West / Grand Park Premier-Blake
- Alec Burton – Danville / Grand Park Premier-Blake
- Christian Harvey – Richmond / Indiana Elite Central 2018
- Jake Dye – Griffith / IE Region 2018
- Hayden Langkabel – Morristown / Indiana Legends 2018
- Garrett Pumphrey – Cambridge City Lincoln / Indiana Legends 2018
- Chaz Birchfield – Hamilton Southeastern / Men of the Family 2018
- Jalan Mull – Blackhawk Christian / OPS 2018
- Drake Thompson – Blackhawk Christian / OPS 2018
This group of players presents a little bit of everything at every spot on the floor. The 2018 class really lacks size but you should get Drake Thompson and Garrett Pumphrey as true low post players to watch along with size on the wings like Alec Burton and Jake Dye. There are a ton of really good guards as well. Tyler Watson, Hayden Langkabel, and Christian Harvey can really score the ball.
Some of the standouts to check in on will be Jalan Mull and Chaz Birchfield. Mull has become one of the best true point guards in the class and he is a pass-first guy. Birchfield has been buried a bit at Hamilton Southeastern but the 6’5 forward has a lot of skill and could surprise some.
