Christ School Re-Loads
One of the top private school programs over the past 10 years in North Carolina is Christ School based out of Arden, North Carolina just outside of Asheville. The school nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina brings in some of the top talent from around the globe to compete against some of the best high school teams in the country.
This past week, two players announced their intentions on playing at Christ School next season. Jalen Lecque from The Bronx, New York and Brandon Stone from Pennsylvania both announced via Twitter that they would be Greenies next season.
Stone is a 6-foot-10 center from Alverton, Pennsylvania has offers from Stony Brook, Appalachian State, Duquesne, Mount St. Mary’s, Robert Morris University and Youngstown State University. He is playing this summer with Bridge City Ballers and is a skilled big man who will provide length and skill to an already big front-line that includes 6-foot-9 Justice Ajogbor and 6-foot-10 Wisdom Asaboro.
Lecque is a 6-foot-2 shooting guard from The Bronx, New York and Iona, Rhode Island, Manhattan, Rider, VCU and Stony Brook. Lecque is a high-flying guard that is a high-light reel in transition. He can play well above the rim and is hard to guard in the open floor.
The new additions along with what is returning will make Christ School one of the favorites for another NCISAA 3-A state title for next season. Damon Harge Jr., returns, along with Ajogbor, Asaboro, Kojack Thompson and sharp-shooter Brad Halvorsen.
