Capital Hoop Fest 16U All-Tournament Team
WASHINGTON, D.C. — There were no shortage of great performances at the Elevate Hoops Capital Hoop Fest last weekend.
Of course, that made picking players for our division-by-division all-tournament teams a difficult task. There were plenty of worthy candidates. We tried to identify the players who were at their best from start to finish, factoring in our own observations and notes with nominations from program directors and coaches.
Here is what we came up with in the highly competitive 16U Division:
MVP
RJ BLAKNEY | TEAM MELO
Three different players from Team Melo could have won this award, but RJ Blakney was probably the most consistent on both ends of the floor. Blakney did a bit of everything, and demonstrated a tremendous amount of confidence. Jalen Willis and Will Thomas deserve mention as they were both in consideration as well.
