Most Underrated Seniors in Utah
Every team has a guy that is overlooked by several other players on his own team. I will be highlighting the most underrated senior players in the state of Utah.
Ben Knight 5’10 (Skyline) is a crafty guard that averaged 12 points and 3 assists per game. Knight had several games where he would go off for 20 plus. He can play at a lower level junior college or NAIA level.
Parker Christensen 6’0 (Maple Mountain) had a fantastic year but didn’t get as much attention as I thought he deserved. He averaged over 15 points per game and had several games where he went off for 20 plus. Christensen would be very good at a lower level junior college or a small four year school.
Saxon Stringham 5’10 (Grantsville) was on a region championship team and was very solid at the point guard position. His stats won’t blow you away as he averaged nearly 6 points and 3 assists per game. Stringham is a very good passer and creates for others. I think he can be a good role player for a lower level college team.
Boston Allen 5’10 (Clearfield) played for a team that didn’t win many games so the spotlight wasn’t really on him. I was very impressed with his play every time I saw him. He is crafty enough to get to the rim and finish over bigger defenders. Allen also has a great pull-up game and can hit the three. In my mind he is a for sure college player.
Mckay Lambert 6’4 (Pine View) has a very solid year for Pine View without getting much credit playing along side big man Trey Farrer. Lambert knocked down 60 three pointers and hit many from well beyond the three point line. With his size at 6’4 Lambert would be an ideal three and D guy at the small college level.
Keejon Sloan 6’3 (Layton) My first time seeing him play was at the Prep Hoops Exposure Camp and I was impressed with his game. He has great court vision and gets other guys going. He averaged 10 points per game this year for a really good Layton team. Sloan would be a very solid small college point guard.
Issac Lundgren 6’4 (Westlake) has a great year with 56 made three pointers and an average of over 15 points per game. I think he could a be a very good player at the small college level with his shooting and size. If he can get in the weight room and improve his ball handling I can see him at the D2 level after two years of junior college.
