Recruiting Report: LaQuill Hardnett (2018)
Philadelphia native LaQuill Hardnett played a key two-way role for Perry Hall during their run to the 4A state title this season. At around 6’8″, Hardnett possesses an intriguing blend of skill to go along with commendable heart and determination.
“I do whatever it takes to win,” stated Hardnett, who hit a late shot to force overtime, and eventually help his team clinch the state title in a win over Quince Orchard.
Hardnett jumped off the page in the Gators’ state semifinal win over Seneca Valley. He pulled down 20 rebounds, and dished out a game-high 6 assists to go along with 11 points and 3 blocks.
“Actually my jump shot,” said Hardnett about the most improved aspect of his game. “Although I didn’t really get too many up today.”
Towson, ECU, and Radford are among the schools Hardnett has received offers from. Rhode Island and Maryland have reportedly expressed interest.
“I don’t think ppl really understand how much I get my teammates involved in the game,” replied Hardnett when asked if anything he does on the court might be underrated.
Hardnett mentioned that he’s in good academic standing, and plans to take the SAT in the near future. He also understands that he needs to continue to improve in all areas of his game in order to play division one ball at the highest level. What can a college coach expect Hardnett to bring to a program at the next level?
“I want to win.”
