A starting point guard on Washington’s 3A runners-up at state, Eddie Turner will now head into his 17U offseason looking for some offers.
The 6-foot Garfield junior has some Division I interest coming in right now. And he’s confident that the interest will materialize into offers this spring and summer.
“There’s no offers, but Portland State and Montana are in the mix, they’ve been calling,” said Turner.
“I’m not concerning myself with it too much, I’m just being patient. I’m hoping for some high-major interest this summer.”
Turner will again play with Seattle Rotary this offseason. And emphasized that the goal is to simply get better.
“Everything is always about getting better, and talking more, things like that,” said Tuner. “My goal is to just keep improving, and all the offers will come.”
One of the state’s best point guards, Tuner’s game is predicated on his quickness. He explained to PHWA what his specific skill-set is, and what his role was with the Bulldogs as a junior.
“I really just want to get into the paint, my whole game revolves around getting by my man and getting into the paint,” said Turner.
“Every night out my role was to open the floor up for my teammates and create open shots for the three D1 players on our team. And defensively my role was to get stops and guard the best ball-handler on the other team.”
