Recruiting Report: David McCullough (2018)
David McCullough was an unsung hero for Riverdale Baptist throughout the season. The versatile junior wing was a top six contributor in virtually every category, and shined for the Crusaders with his ability to defend at a high level.
“I can attack the rim hard,” McCullough stated. “Shoot the mid range. Can dribble, can play hardcore defense.”
We saw McCullough defend several positions in a Riverdale win over Rock Creek Christian in the MD Private School Championship last month. McCullough is very long, and is adept at altering shots.
“Really just going hard and having a stronger motor and love for the game,” said McCullough about the most improved aspect of his game. “I have a 3.6 GPA and its improving.”
McCullough is reportedly receiving interest from Towson, DePaul, Lehigh, UMass, and Stony Brook. He admits that he’ll need to continue to work on being more comfortable and having more confidence. What can a college coach interested in recruiting McCullough expect from him at the next level?
“Really just wanting to win and get better every day on the floor and getting my teammates better.”
