Recruiting Report: Chase Hill (2017)
Alexandria native Chase Hill possesses strong fundamentals, and has been a go-to option on the low block for Bishop Ireton Head Coach Neil Berkman for the past two seasons. The talented 6’7 senior bounced back strong from injury early in the season to finish out the year strong.
“Love the sport,” Said Hill, who’s been playing basketball since age 4. “I’m one who’s strong on fundamentals. I think I make good plays. I score when i need to, but I’m selfless.”
Shenandoah, Washington College, Lynchburg, and Scranton are among the schools recruiting Hill at this time.
“I will take visits and talk to my parents, and then figure things out.”
Hill admittedly needs to work on his strength with the ball, and shooting consistency. In the past year or two, confidence has definitely been one of the biggest improvements Hill has seen with his game.
“I’m one who’s strong offense in general,” he stated. “I’ve been less timid and more aggressive on offense.”
Hill believes his passing is underrated. He thinks he makes good passes, and solid decisions with the ball.
“Coming in as a freshman I could be a good leader,” said Hill about what he could contribute to a college program. “Set a good example for everyone. Get rebounds. Make good passes. Make my team better.”
