Recruiting Report: Anthony Higgs (2018)
Perry Hall’s Anthony Higgs has great court presence, and a nice feel for the game. So when he says he’s only been playing basketball seriously since the ninth grade, you can see that he’s still just scratching the surface of his true potential.
“Everything,” replied the Brooklyn native when asked what he believes he can do on the court.
Higgs is a 6-foot-9 lefty with a college-ready frame, and sneaky athleticism to go along with a great touch. He can score in the post, but won’t hesitate to knock down a transition three from the top of the key either.
“My jumper is most improved,” said Higgs. “I still need to work on everything though.”
Higgs, a 3.2 student at Perry Hall, received a scholarship offer from Old Dominion this week, and has four other offers that he doesn’t want out to the public yet.
“They’re all kind of quiet,” said Higgs about his offers. “I don’t like putting them out there.”
Higgs is yet to take a campus visit, but that could change come AAU season. What can a college coach expect Higgs to bring to a program at the next level?
“Whatever is needed. Just go get a championship.”
