Of course, the big news around the state was the recent commitment of former Tolton Catholic star Michael Porter, Jr., who committed to the University of Missouri. The 6’10” Porter was a University of Washington signee, but was released from his letter when head coach Lorenzo Romar was fired. Porter will join his father, Michael Porter, Sr., who will be on the staff of new Mizzou coach Cuonzo Martin as an assistant coach.

Republic High standout Treydon Rackley has given a commitment to the School of the Ozarks. The 6’3″ Rackley is one of the top perimeter shooters in the state of Missouri.
Lindbergh High teammates Dominic Davis and Ryan Lacefield are headed to Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL. As seniors, the helped lead the Flyers to a 19-7 record. The 6’4″ Davis averaged 13.1 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting 49 percent from the field. The 6’1″ Lacefield averaged 8.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists a game.
Vashon High point guard Daniel “Peanut” Farris received an offer from Missouri Western after leading the Wolverines to the Class 4 state championship. Class of 2017 point guard Koray Gilbert of Vashon received offers from Missouri Western and Missouri Southern during the Wolverines’ postseason run.
Lincoln University has extended offers to 2017 guards Isaiah Wilson of Father Tolton and Steve Webb of Westminster Christian Academy.
Class of 2019 forward Isiaih Mosley received his first offer from Tulsa University last week. The 6’6″ Mosley is one of the top young prospects in the state of Missouri. He led the Bruins to a berth in the Class 5 state quarterfinals.
*Two Missouri Teams finish in Top 25
Class 5 state champion Webster Groves and Class 4 state champion Vashon both finished in the Final Max Preps Top 25 Boys Basketball Rankings in 2017. Webster Groves finished the season ranked No. 13 in the country after their 29-2 season. Vashon moved into the Top 25 this week after completing its 27-3 championship season. Congratulations to both teams on outstanding seasons.
