Prospect Spotlight: Treyvon Reiser (2018)
2018 guard Treyvon Reiser was an integral part of Nature Coast’s success this past season.
The Sharks posted a 27-2 record as they advanced to the Class 6A region semifinal before losing to Palatka by seven points.
Reiser will take over a major role at Nature Coast next season with three seniors departing including Jordan Baxter and Anthony Valante. The 5’11”, 150-pounder had this to say about his junior campaign.
“We had a very successful season and to be a part of that was an honor. At Nature Coast, the part of my game that grew the most was my offense and ability to score,” Reiser told Prep Hoops Florida. “I grew confidence as the season went on and got more confident to be able to score the ball and a factor offensively.
“Defense has always been a part of my game and I feel that Nature Coast helped my IQ on both ends of the floor.”
He’ll be playing for Team Speights this summer. After the Florida Magic, his previous team merged with Speights, Reiser is focused on bettering his game during travel season.
Starting his basketball career at age 7, Reiser says it’s not just a game anymore it’s a passion and that the love that he has for it is unmeasurable.
He called his biggest strength in his game the ability to create for himself and his team and his defense. Reiser is looking to become a better scorer and factor in on the offense from everything to passing, rebounding and facilitating.
Reiser is someone who flashed his all-around ability at our Expo last September and once again last week at The Top Rank Showcase Orlando. He’s going to have to continue to get stronger, but expect him to be a breakout 2018 prospect this summer and next season.
