Max Muller to Illinois Wesleyan
Illinois Wesleyan continues to roll on the recruiting trail. A day after landing a backcourt commitment from Eric Higgs of Farmington they added a quality wing prospect on Friday morning with the commitment of Porta small forward Max Muller. He told us why they were his choice.
“I decided on IWU in large part to their strong academic programs, but also the fact that they have a great basketball tradition. Love the coaching staff, team, and feel like I can be an impact player there. Also in the end it became very important to me to be fairly close to family as they will be able to get to many games while at IWU.”
The 2017 small forward has tremendous size at 6’6”. Projects well for college with his size and ability to shoot the ball. Plus shooter from deep that can drill them off the catch. Moves away from the ball to get open. Much more than just a shooter he is a quality athlete that can get to the hoop off the bounce. Has some versatility defensively as well.
Muller ran with the Illinois Irish on the grassroots circuit. He is the #14 small forward and #56 overall prospect in the class of 2017.
