It’s that time of year!!!
As you know it’s that time of the year once again, AAU season has begun and prospects of all levels are now deciding what AAU program they will play the spring and summer with. Although players can sometimes be hard to keep up with we are giving you a preview of who is going to be where so you can stop in and check out some of your favorite players.
Trinity Christian Guard Josh Nickelberry: Josh has ‘‘ blown up’’ over the past year and we can only expect that to continue as he join forces with Christian Brown with the GA Stars 16u squad. They should be a very fun team to watch as they will be competing on the EYBL circuit in the 16u division matching up with some of the top players in the country.
Northwood Temple F/C Manny Bates: Bates is another player whose stock has rose quite a bit over the last year, he will be teaming up with Joey Baker from Trinity with Team Felton on the Under Armour Circuit. Team Felton made it very far in the UAA circuit last year so look for them to do big things this year.
New Hanover Guard Freddie Taylor: Freddie is a very quick guard that is starting to get the attention of media and colleges around the state, he will suit up this AAU season with Flight 22 out of Wilmington. Taylor has played on the local level for quite a few years so this should be a great chance for him to show his goods.
Coby White and John Newman: The lethal 2018 Backcourt of these two young men will team up once again for Team CP3 on the 17u level of the EYBL circuit. We saw glimpses of what they could do last year at the 16u level so it’s going to be fun to see them team up and make noise at the highest level this summer.
Jarius Hamilton: This young man has the perfect mixture of power and athleticism, his recruitment has already been very active and his potential to be special very clear. This AAU season he always will be headed down to Georgia to play with the Stars, which only adds to how dangerous a program the GA Stars have a chance to be.
