Getting to know 2019 G Murad Berrian
It is easy really easy to get excited when you watch Murad Berrian play.
The 2019 Robinson guard is blazing fast, has impressive handles and is a bright young mind.
He averaged 9.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists for the Knights (12-11), posting 10 double digit performances. Berrian opened the season with six 10 plus point outings which included a career-best 17-point game against Hillsborough.
The 5’10”, 150-pounder did a fine job of commanding the offense in his first varsity season.
“The season was great but didn’t go as planned even though we were a very young team,” Berrian told Prep Hoops Florida. “I learned that you have to trust your teammates in order to win games because you can win them by yourself.”
Berrian’s focus this summer is to have a breakout season and be all over college radars by the end of it.
“I’m not running with any team right now but I will be playing in the tournament Showtime Ballers has this weekend and if that go’s well I should be running with them this summer,” he said.
Starting his basketball life in the 8th grade, Berrian pointed to his quickness and his ability to win off the dribble as his biggest strengths. He wants to improve getting more shots up and knowing when to beat a defender.
Look for Berrian to open people’s eyes this summer and next season for Robinson. He’s going to be running the offense with more confidence and that should benefit everyone around him.
