Farmville Central Freshman Justin Wright Is Up Next!!!!
If you’re a fan of high school basketball in North Carolina then you know about Farmville Central HS already, they went undefeated the season before last and have one of the top unsigned seniors around in Tyler Maye. Well now there is a new name at Farmville Central that you need to get very familiar with and that is Freshman Point Guard Justin Wright, who is quickly showing us all that he has a chance to be special.
My first time getting to see Justin play was during the Farmville MLK day tournament, initially I thought he was a junior due to the fact of how mature his demeanor was during the game. After talking with his coach I found out that he was only a freshman, which was very impressive considering how developed he was maturity wise and skillset.
He eventually would receive an invite to the East NC Fab 40 Camp to match up with some of the other top guards from around the eastern side of the state and he did not disappoint. What does he do well? First off he’s an excellent ball handler, he has a high amount of moves that keeps defenders guessing and allows him to get to his spots without much issue. Also he has a nice IQ for the game, although he has the ability to score the ball well he gets everybody on the squad and doesn’t just settle for trying to score all the time. On defense he brings consistent effort, he has nice lateral quickness and very quick hands that he uses to come on with steals and cause issues for opponents. During this spring and next high school basketball season I expect his recruitment to really start taking off without a doubt, he’s got all the tools on the court and off the court to be special.
