PG. Lucas Jones (DT) vs Lucas Hofer (E). Hofer is a bit taller while Jones is the stronger of the two. Lucas is the leader type, all state football player and at times an explosive offensive producer. Hofer is the better shooter and puts up consistent numbers. Close battle.
W1. Noah Sickler (DT) vs Hunter White (E). Sickler has worked into his spot moving from a contributor as a junior to a steady trusted player as a senior. White is the clutch shot maker and one of the key pieces of the Ellendale run. Sickler is a veteran but White is a key Ellendale playmaker.
W2. Alex Scherr (DT) vs Brennan Vance (E). Vance has had some monster performances late in the season and his recent big games is a huge credit to why Ellendale is at state for the first time in 30 plus years. Scherr is a spot up guy who provides his team depth and dependable play both ways. Vance is one of hottest players in the state right now though.
F1. Easton Walby (DT) vs Nathan Peterson (E). Two role players in the starting line-up that are likely to be asked to battle against the scorers of the other teams at times.
F2. Shawn Stoltz (DT) vs Luke Wertz (E). Wertz is the third piece of the Ellendale scoring trio and he does his work on the inside. As good as Wertz is Stoltz has been a monster all season. He’s been the guy at times that can carry the team for his work.
6th. Kendall Jones (DT) vs Austin Molan (E). Kendall is the twin of Lucas (they have a sister which actually makes them triplets) and he’s a 5-foot-6 battler who gets middle often and provides a spark. Molan recently scored a dozen in a huge district game and he usually gives the team about three scores a contest.
