ANNOUNCING: New Colorado 2018 Player Rankings
An important time is coming for the class of 2018!
After finishing recently finishing their junior seasons, players in this class are preparing for their final full season of club basketball, a big chance to turn the heads of college coaches across the country.
It’s a perfect time to unveil our new rankings of players in that class.
Compiling these rankings is a difficult task, one based on our own observations of hundreds of games throughout the high school and club games, breakdowns of our showcase events, communications with respected figures in the state’s basketball community and the examination of pertinent stats where available.
No list will ever be perfect, but we’ve exhausted or resources to create our best database on the top players in Colorado.
Note: If we have the incorrect club team listed (there’s much changing at this time of year) or if there’s not one listed and you’ve joined one, please contact us and we’ll make the adjustment.
As for the class, the top five players remained the same from our last update, led by nationally ranked wing Daylen Kountz, Rock Canyon guard Sam Masten, ThunderRidge guard Kaison Hammonds, Smoky Hill forward Will Becker and George Washington guard Jon’il Fugett.
As for Nos. 6 through 120? There was a lot of shakeup there, with big risers and new additions to the list.
We’ll have much more content in the coming days further breaking down this class.
For now, CLICK HERE to check out the list.
(Editor’s note: A technical error in the first publication of the new 2018 rankings, which were released Friday, caused the omission of a top-20 player. This player has since been added, so any one-spot adjustment to a ranking that appeared Friday was due to that addition.)
