The Eagles (21-8) took down Champagnat Catholic 80-71 while Orlando Christian Prep (25-4) beat Southwest Florida Christian 67-49.
Here are the top performers from the day in 3A:
Amorie Archibald (Trinity Christian)
No one scored more points than the 6’3″ senior on Tuesday. Archibald dropped 43 points, matching a career-high along with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Slowing him down was not possible.
Nassir Little (Orlando Christian Prep)
Little kept Orlando Christian Prep alive and well with 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field. The 6’6″ junior forward can knock down jumpers and use his pure athleticism to work the ball inside.
Braithe Ferguson (Champagnat Catholic)
The Lions stayed afloat largely because of Ferguson’s 27 point, nine rebound performance. A 6’5″ senior, he certainly didn’t go down without a fight.
Marlon Bradley (Trinity Christian)
Only a sophomore, the 6’3″ guard added a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Bradley was aggressive when he needed to be and provided plenty of energy for his group.
CJ Walker (Orlando Christian Prep)
Walker scored 11 points and grabbed nine boards. The 6’7″ sophomore battled foul trouble but made enough happen while he was in the game with his 5-of-7 shooting night.
Caleb Catto (Southwest Florida Christian)
The junior guard didn’t have his best game. However, Catto still managed to score a team-high 18 points. The 6’5″ forward is a streaky shooter, but when he gets going, he’s hard to slow down.
Stephon Johnson (Champagnat Catholic)
A 5’10” junior point guard, Johnson recorded 13 points in 15 minutes on the floor for the Lions. He was crafty inside and has some serious jets.
