Prep Hoops took in some of the Day 1 action down at Porter Gaud School in Charleston.
Charleston Collegiate the defending champions in the SCISA-1A bracket had no problem with St John’s Christian. The Sun Devils jumped out to a 38-19 lead and never looked back. The Sun Devils would finish the game with a 75-35 victory to advance to Tuesday.
Nolan Knox
The Sun Devils (17-10) on the year were led in scoring by seniors Shelby Grimes with 25 points, Nolan Knox 17 points, Kegan Boone 15 points and Karrington Stoney added 11 points.
The Northwood Academy Chargers had no troubles with Orangeburg Prep in the opening round. The Chargers pounded the Indians 78-48. The Chargers led 46-17 at halftime and cruised to the opening round victory in the SCISA-3A Bracket.
Jamal Edmonson
The Chargers were led in scoring by (2019) Jamal Edmonson with 14 points. Randall Litmon and Eric Kinloch both added 10 points in the victory.
The Chargers (22-9) on the season will play Wednesday in Sumter at the Civic Center in the quarterfinals. The Chargers will play conference rival Pinewood Prep.
