The kid can get it done on the hardwood too. He proved that with the Illinois Irish over the summer and is doing it again this year for his high school team. He has a strong and stocky build which allows him to play physical from the guard position. Finishes well inside on drives. Quick second jump as he is an effective offensive rebounder.
How is the season going?
“We are solid. We have played some good teams. As a sophomore I have surprised myself and my coaches with how well I have been playing. Trying to go out there and show what I have.”
He spoke about his strengths.
“I get all my points off steals and fastbreak points. I help out on the defensive end as much as I can.”
Brock was a key player and productive wing for the Illinois Irish 15U last summer.
“It really helped me with high school basketball because playing with the Irish the competition was high which helped get me ready for varsity.”
Most of his recruiting attention is towards football at this stage.
“I went on a visit to Illinois for football. Nothing for basketball yet.”
