Here is a look at the region final slate for 2A.
Region 1
Aucilla Christian at Temple Christian (Friday, 7 p.m. ET)
This is just the second regional appearance for Aucilla Christian. The Warriors (10-11) took down visiting Christ’s Church 68-61 last week. Junior Tima Finlayson and senior Gatlin Nennstiel are the top pieces for Aucilla. For Temple Christian (24-3) this is their third regional appearance since 2012-13. Seniors Donald Knight and Levi Banks are carrying this team.
Region 4
Grandview Prep at Miami Christian (Tuesday, 7 p.m. ET)
This is a rematch of last year’s region final. Grandview Prep (23-3) of course went onto to win the state title but Miami Christian (27-2) is stacked this season. Grandview Prep has seniors Matt Schner (33 points in last week’s region semifinal) and Eric Snow leading the charge. Miami Christian is filled with talent starting with seniors Ed Camacho, Josh Rosario and Felipe Haase. This is the elite matchup in 2A this week.
Region 2
North Florida Educational at Bayshore Christian (Tuesday, 7 p.m. ET)
Bayshore Christian (20-3) is led by junior David Santiago and freshmen Jeremiah Wicks and Christian Anderson. The Faith Warriors are back in the regional round for the fourth straight season. Their opponent is North Florida Educational, a team making its sixth consecutive regional appearance. The Eagles (9-8) have senior Aaron-Michael Osman and freshman Arnan Crooms at the forefront.
Region 3
Central Florida Christian at Florida Prep (Friday, 7 p.m. ET)
Florida Prep (23-5) is not your typical 2A school with three players 6’8″ or taller in Ndiaga Diop, Mbacke Diong and Lahat Thioune. Junior point guard A.J. Johnson is a true playmaker for the Falcons. Coming to town is a Central Florida Christian team that is 24-5 and currently on an 18-game winning streak. Junior Dante Treacy and seniors Sebastian Brown and DeLazarus Keys are the top scorers for the Eagles.
