We begin with the matchup between the 2018 Stars from Greenfield against the 2019 Stars from Trinity Christian. There is quite a bit of history between these two programs meeting in the playoffs , just a few years ago Dennis Smith Jr, Z0 Tyson, Kwe Parker, Jalen Harris, Logan Mclane and many more all went to battle for a state championship.
#2 Trinity Christian vs #3 The Greenfield School
These two teams split this season when they matched up, with Greenfield taking the first win on their home floor while Trinity got the win on their home floor more recently. Both teams have just about everything you need to win during this time of year, which is: outstanding coaching, star power, role players and most importantly confidence.
Of course when you talk about Greenfield you have to talk about UNC Commit Coby White who has been outstanding for Greenfield and has already scored 2,000 Points as a junior. He can score with ease regardless of what the defensive scheme is but also is a very gifted passer, however for Greenfield to win the supporting cast of Unsigned Senior Dorien Suggs and Junior Guard Elijah Mccaden must play well. In recent wins Mccaden has performed very well to even having a career type night against Wayne Christian finishing with 39 Points.
For Trinity they will look to their star 2019 duo of Josh Nickelberry & Joey Baker to provide their normal offensive firepower as they have done all season, Josh and Joey have both put up impressive numbers and coaches have to pick their poison when trying to defend them. However the key to their success will be the production of under the radar 2019 players Talton Jones & Greg Gantt, in their wins against Village Christian and against Cape Fear Christian in the quarterfinals both Gantt and Jones performed well scoring over 40 Points combined in the most recent game.
