As a matter of fact, one of the leading shot blockers/rebounders in the city along with one of the top scorers in the city reside in this conference. Let’s take a look at the All-CHL Team.
All CHL Team:
Lonnie Grayson- Wyoming
2016-17 Stats: 21.4 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 4.4 APG
One of the better players in all of Cincinnati, the Army commit turned in an outstanding senior season. Grayson led the conference and was fifth in the Cincinnati area with his 21.4 points per game average. In addition to his scoring prowess, Grayson 4.4 assist per game was good enough for third in the conference. Army will definitely be getting a good one when Grayson gets to West Point.
Joey Edmonds- Wyoming
2016-17 Stats: 13.8 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 3.8 APG
The 25th ranked sophomore in the state of Ohio, Edmonds is one of the better pure shooters in the state of Ohio. The 6’0 guard finished the regular season with shooting percentages of 49.8% from the floor, 43.3% from three point range and 81.6% from the line. Edmonds finished the season 7th in the conference in scoring and 5th in the conference in assist.
Colin Shaw- Indian Hills
2016-17 Stats: 18.2 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 1.6 APG
Shaw is one of the more underrated performers in the Cincinnati area. The 6’3 junior finished 2nd in the conference in scoring and 5th in rebounding. Colin also had three games this season were he finished with 13 or more free throw attempts.
Garyn Prater- Wyoming
2016-17 Stats: 16.8 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 2.1 APG
The Ohio State football commit proved to be a load to handle on the hardwood as well. The smooth 6’6 wing finished in the top 10 in the conference in points, rebounds and field goal percentage. Prater also shot 45.7% from three point range.
Jacob Trester- Mariemont
2016-17 Stats: 8.6 PPG, 12.0 RPG, 2.8 BPG
Trester does not get enough credit for the outstanding job he does in the paint on the defensive end. The 6’6 seniors 12 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game not only led the conference but was good enough to rank 6th and 7th in Cincinnati respectively. The big fella definitely gets it done in the paint for the Warriors.
