Upper State Bracket
Chester 75, Broome 61
Malik Williams scored 18 points to help the Chester Cyclones advance to the 2nd Round. The Cyclones have won 11 straight games. Williams is signed on at Appalachian State for football next season. Zeke Stringer led Broome with a game-high 21 points in the loss.
Berea 81, Walhalla 66
Berea was led by Jalen Duffin and Raymond Williams (2018) both scoring 28 points apiece. The Bulldogs came out of the half down by one and connected on eight three pointers to take a 13 point lead at the end of the third. Walhalla finished the season at 13-10.
Jalen Carter
Clinton 80, Indian Land 70
Clinton moves to (19-3) on the season. Jalen Carter (2017) scored a game-high 19 points to advance to play Pendleton on Friday. Indian Land finished the season at (6-16) Shamon Alston (2019) scored 17 points in the loss.
Pendleton 72, Emerald 64
Pendleton’s (14-5) Semaj Anderson scored 25 points and helped the Bulldogs advance to play Clinton on Friday night. Freshman CJ Plantin grabbed 11 rebounds. Coach Brown picked up his 400 win at Pendleton. Emerald finish the season at 14-9.
Greenville Southside 87, West-Oak 34
Greenville Southside (23-1) outscored West Oak (5-17) 87-34 to advance to host Camden on Friday night.
Camden 75, Newberry 73
In a battle of the Bulldogs in the Class 3a playoffs, Camden (8-9) defeated Newberry (9-11) 75-73 to advance. Camden will travel Southside on Friday night in the second round.
Seneca 65, Carolina 54
Braden Galloway (2018) had 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Seneca (19-7). Tristian Hudson (2017) added 12 points for the victors. Carolina finished the season at 3-15.
Chapman 86, Fairfield Central 75
The Panthers (13-7) took care of business by beating the Griffins 86-75 in the first round playoff.
Lower State Bracket
Tre’von Anderson
Ridgeland-Hardeeville 68, Pelion 51
Ridgeland-Hardeeville’s (17-6) Rashamel Butler scored 21 points and Tre’von Anderson (2017) scored 17 points. Pelion (14-13) made the playoffs for first time since 1993 season.
Loris 71, Manning 58
Antron Smith scored 24 points for Loris (15-5). Travis Walters (2018) scored 11 points and grabbed 22 rebounds for the Lions. Manning finished the season at (10-15).
Lloyd Hemming
Brookland-Cayce 80, Bluffton 69
Dominque Perry scored team-high 18 points to advance in the Class 3A playoffs. Class 3A player of the year Lloyd Hemming (2017) scored 13 points for Bearcats (16-8). Bluffton (7-14) Jermaine Patterson (2018) scored a game-high 26 points.
Timberland 49, Lake City 46
Timberland did just enough to win and advance in the Class 3A playoff. The Wolves improved to 14-8 and Lake City finished the season at 17-6.
Dillon 73, Lake Marion 54
Keenan Norman (2017) scored 23 points for the Wildcats (14-5). Keyshawn Aiken (2017) finished his career with 18 points for the Gators.
Wade Hampton (Varnville) 55, Swansea 43
Wade Hampton outscored the Tigers 17-6 in the first quarter and never look back in the game. Effix Miller (2018) led Swansea with 21 points in the loss to the end the season at 12-15.
Bishop England 49, Waccamaw 48
Bishop England’s (19-5) used a 20-16 third quarter to take the lead at 42-41 and held on for the win. Brendan McHale led the Battling Bishops with 20 points. Lach Dancy (2018) led the Warriors in defeat with 17 points. The Warriors finished the season at (15-10)

Strom Thurmond 68, May River 65 (OT)
Jamarvious Jones (2019) scored 10 of his 20 points in the extra session to lead the Rebels (14-9) to victory. Aven Montague led May River (14-9) with 19 points and Jai Morrow (2017) played his final game as Sharks with 16 points.
