Having scored 5 points in this win along with 10 rebounds Tyler went on to tell me “I scored only twice, but they both were monstrous put backs.”
On the season, Tyler is averaging 10 points and 9 rebounds a game, when asked about his style of play he said “it is fast paced, relentless, and aggressive. I can spread the court and push the ball.” He compared his play to the such players as Lamarcus Aldridge and James Worthy.
“This season is going real well. We are 18-0, but Our goal is to go undefeated and win the state title.”
Tyler is looking for a school that can give him a quality education while also having a strong team that will continue to push him to make him better.
He has received offers from Benedictine University and South Mountain Community College.
Schools that are interested in recruiting him are Greensville College, Beloit College, University of Dallas, Whitman College, and Emory Oxford.
Along with playing high school ball at Shadow Mountain, Tyler plays for Power House Hoops. When mentioning Power House Hoops he told me “I play for John Ortega, he is a big part of everything I do, I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.”
