Braswell is now a junior at Blythewood HS just north of Columbia. Braswell is ranked #9 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 for the State of South Carolina.
Braswell arrived in South Carolina after his family was relocated from the military. Braswell has been in Florida, Virginia and Germany just to name a few places in the past. His mother was recently deployed.
Braswell has helped his Bengals teammates to a 13-5 start this season under Head Coach Zeke Washington.
Braswell is averaging 11.9 ppg and 6.6 rebounds this season for the Bengals. Braswell recently scored 13 points versus Irmo in a big region game. The Bengals won 70-61.
“Robert has a tremendous upside and has the ability to shoot the ball from all over the floor” said Washington.
South Carolina State has offered a scholarship according to Washington. Fayetteville State (NC) and Coker College both NCAA D2 schools have also offered scholarships according to Washington. James Madison recently came in last week to watch Braswell.
Braswell played AAU with G.W.P. Sixers last season. Braswell hasn’t decided on a AAU team for this spring according to Washington.
